Fall is comming to an end!

Fall is just about over here in MD and I'm just now getting our pix up.
It's been a really fun season full of lots of family fun.
I want to post about our trip last weekend to the Corn Maze with our church family.
It was a wonderful day with our dear friends, I'm not sure that we really ever truly made it to the end of the Maze. But it was a great day and the kids had a blast just enjoying God's creation and being out with our friends.
Here's some shots of our day!

Our Little Family!

Our family has been really busy this fall with lots of fun stuff. But now that it's the end of Oct. and we've had our first snow flurries that it's time to get all our Christmas Decor. I know your saying " What so early, it's not even Thanks Giving yet." but we spend Thanks Giving in GA. with family so when we get home from there it's Christmas. so this week I'll spend the week slowing putting up our decorations, and then next weekend we'll put the tree up!!!!! I'm so excited. and the cool thing about Christmas this year is that I'm just about done shopping already except for the grandparents and Daddy!!!! I did all our shopping for our kids during garage sale season, and so I have just a few hand made things to do and a couple projects for Hubby to do and were done!!!!
Well were off and running were out of milk and so Wal~mart here we come.
I have lots to share with you I've been researching and learning alot over the past few months about natural things and how to make our home healthier for my family.
I'll share more with you when I have time.
Until then, Happy last few days of fall!
Blessings

What a weekend!

What a blessed weekend I had, for starters it was our home town fall fair called Autumn Glory. It was a great time of being outside in God's awesome creation and being with church friends. On Sat. We do a service on the streets of our little town. It's my fav. Our praise team and children's chior sing and we have a huge puppet ministry that shares and my Hubby got to share the Gospel. And ended with a great parade.
And on Friday my Sister~ inlaw had their twins. Elin & Ava!!!! So exciting. Both girls are doing well, and are super Adorable. We can't wait to see them at Christmas, until then pix. will have to do.
And to top off the weekend yesterday was my 30th birthday! My day was filled with lots of warm wishes and a party given by my sweet Hubby inhonor of me. Each guest as they arrived gave me a rose. And so you guessed it by the end of the evening I was blessed with 30 of the most beautiful roses I've ever seen. It was a great evening.
I'm sooooooo very blessed.
Thanks to everyone who helped to make my day so very special.
And today our sweet little baby boy turned 6 months!!!! I'll try and post so new pix of him tomorrow. I need to do a photo shoot of him tomorrow all sitting up like a big boy. I was so not ready for that but he's loving it!
So that was my weekend in a blurrrr. I pray you had a blessed weekend too.

Blessings!

Here's just a pix to put in your memory to remind you to pray this weekend for me.
Thanks!

My little display.

Please pray with me.

This weekend I'm setting out on a little adventure towards that Proverbs 31 woman that I so desire to be.
I'm selling Homemade Goats milk soap at our local fall fair. I'm excited to see what the Lord is going to do.

So please pray with me that all goes well and that He is glorified by " The Wash Tub Soap Co." This weekend!

It's Fall Y'all!

If you're family is like Ours, we are always looking for fun ways to Bless our friends and loved ones.
Here's a really fun "Fall" idea that a friend of ours did for our family this year.
You bake a batch of Cut Out cookies in fall shapes and make little bags of fall colored frosting. and deliver it to friends for them to decorate!
The kids had a blast decorating and enjoying their cookies!

Lanna loved doing Her own "Tookie."

Our finished cookies!
They were sure yummy!
Thanks to our friends for helping us make a new fall tradition!
Go out and bless your friends and loved one's this week!
Blessings!

Recipe for Our Homemade Laundry Soap

Hello!
Here is the long awaited recipe for the Laundry soap that I shared a few weeks ago, Sorry it's taken so long.
Don't forget that tomorrow is the last day to enter our 'All About Baby' giveaway. so don't forget to check it out!
While I'm up here at the church I'll try and put some pix on for the Grandparent's, I'm sorry it's been a few weeks, I'm guessing you want to see some new pix!
Have a blessed day!

Homemade Liquid Laundry Soap- Front or top load machine
(Duggar’s Recipe)
4 Cups - hot tap water
1 Fels-Naptha soap bar (I used Dove and it was okay, others used Ivory.)
1 Cup - Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda*
½ Cup Borax

- Grate bar of soap and add to saucepan with water. Stir continually over medium-low heat until soap dissolves and is melted.
-Fill a 5 gallon bucket half full of hot tap water. Add melted soap, washing soda and Borax. Stir well until all powder is dissolved. Fill bucket to top with more hot water. Stir, cover and let sit overnight to thicken.
-Stir and fill a used, clean, laundry soap dispenser half full with soap and then fill rest of way with water. Shake before each use. (will gel)
-Optional: You can add 10-15 drops of essential oil per 2 gallons. Add once soap has cooled.
Ideas: lavender, rosemary, tea tree oil.

-Yield: Liquid soap recipe makes 10 gallons.
-Top Load Machine- 5/8 Cup per load (Approx. 180 loads)
-Front Load Machines- ¼ Cup per load (Approx. 640 loads)
*Arm & Hammer "Super Washing Soda" - in some stores . I found it at our little home town store, but Meijer has it for you IN folks! Baking Soda will not work, nor will Arm & Hammer Detergent - It must be sodium carbonate!!

Here's the fun part!!!!

How much I can save!!!!
Tide 100 oz. = $10.94

Borax = $3.00
Super Washing Soda = $3.00
10 bars of Ivory Soap = $ 4.18
Makes 50 gallons!
Total = $ 10.18

Final Calculations Tied = $14.00 a gallon
Duggar’s Recipe = $. 20 CENTS a gallon!!!!
