Look what we found!

Hello!
A few weeks a go I was cleaning out the little barn and I opened up a dresser drawer and found these little babies!
At first I thought it was just an old nest, but as I was taking it to dump it out came a little baby and I SCREAMED and dropped to drawer.
Lets just say mice and snakes make this Mama do some Crazy things. I can't stand them.
But these little babies were so cute I didn't have the heart to "get rid " of them.
So the kids watched them till Daddy got home to " Get rid" of them for me.

Here's what Lanna  thought of them!

Aiden wasn't sure what to think of them!
" Awww, there so Tute" is what Lanna would say!

Needless to say when Daddy got home he "Helped" me with our little babies, and Lord willing we won't be finding any more any time soon! :)
Have a great night!
Blessings!

Elhanna Joy!!!

Our Sweet Little Girl turned 3 today!
She is so mature for her age she seems just a bit older, but I'd like to keep her little as long as passable!!! :)
At 3 she can...
Count to 15, say all her ABC's, help with house work. (she loves it. and often does things without being asked) watch baby A. for a few minuets for me, make her bed, feed the cat, and knows many bible verses!
She is such a JOY in our lives. defiantly lives up to her middle name!

We celebrated this evening at dinner with our family before Daddy had to rush to a meeting, so here's some shots form our day!

Daddy brought Lanna some Balloons on his lunch break!

The Dinner table!

Her Jello Cake!

Loving the Little Years Giveaway!!!

Good morning!
A few weeks ago a friend of mine said I needed to read this book called
"Loving the Little Years: Motherhood in the Trenches "

To be honest my first thought was, " With a 4, 2, & 1 year old, when do I have time to read anymore?", but she assured me that it was short read; and it is!!!
Loving the Little Years by Rachel Jankovic is a precious book for those of us in this season. It has short short chapters for those of us that just have a just few minunts to ourselves
( mine, in the bathroom. :)).
Rachel has five children five and under, including twins, so she has lots of experience with "Little Treasures".

Here's just a few quotes I love from the book!

"Christian childrearing is a pastoral pursuit, not an organisational challenge . . . If you are focused on the upkeep of the house and the schedule, as long as your child is not interrupting, you don't worry about it. If you are being pastorally minded, you will stop whatever it is that you are doing to see how your daughter is up in her bedroom."

". . . if you accept your lot and rejoice in your toil, God will give you the kind of overwhelming joy that cannot remember the details. Motherhood is hard work. It is repetitive and often times menial. Accept it. Rejoice in it. This is your toil. Right here. Those are their faces."

" Fat souls are better then clean floors."

I appreciate Rachel's wisdom and want to try so many of her ideas that I will likely have to re-read sections to remember how to execute them. One of the concepts that she talks about is that we teach our children to be obedient because obedience leads to freedom, and that is something we want to model about God’s character.

Loving the Little Years is available from Canon Press .

All that to say, I am happy to be giving away A copy of Loving the Little Years: Motherhood in the Trenches here on my blog! Rodeo Time!

Last night we took Liam and Lanna to the Rodeo! They had a blast just watching the Cowboys and Cowgirls. but I think most of all the the bulls chasing after the clowns!
The weather last night was very cool for what we have had and so the bulls were VERY ornery.
One " Might Mouse" so much so that after his ride to took off... No really he rammed the fence and then JUMPED it! and was lose in the fair grounds. it was quit the event!!! the kids were so into to it! the Cowboys were everywhere trying to contain " Might Mouse" But even after a attempt to lasso him he got away and when we left they were still chasing him!!!!
Liam loved that. and Said " Can I go help? " :)

Here's just a few pix from our evening!

Lanna Loved it!

Liam, WAY into it!

Their T~shirts

It was a very fun evening.
But again as I was sitting there in the grandstand the Lord was working on my heart. " How many of these people Know my Lord, How many of them will spend eternity with HIM,

Here in our own little 3 stop light town who has a true relationship with HIM?"

But the Bigger question... if the Lord would bring the opportunity would I be ready to share the HOPE that I have in HIM? Hummm. I have some heart checking to do this afternoon when the family naps this afternoon. I'm excited to see what the Lord has for me!

But would you be willing to ask your self that? Am I ready and willing to share the gospel at any moment? Just something to think about!!!

Have a great day!!!

Blessings!
