Something New!

With all the changes that were slowly making in our home to help our family be a bit more healthy I have a new strong Liking for Cast Iron!
I had talked to dear Mom sometime ago about wanting one and so for Christmas Mom and Dad blessed me with a Great Set of Cast Iron pans.
I Like them so much I've used them for everything in the past few weeks. Here's just some of the yummy ways we've enjoyed them!

It was supper yummy too! So I had to barrow their Picture!

We still have a long way to go in learning how to keep our Cast Iron well seasoned, and no sticking. but so far so good!
Thanks Mom and Dad for the great gift!! We love it, and I'm so thankful that its helping to keep our little family just one step closer to to being a more Healthy!

It's a God Thing!

 Good Morning!
I have been thinking about how GOOD the Lord has been to our family. all the Joys and Blessings that He sends into our lives.
I wanted to share one very special one with you today!
As a girl I played with dolls till I was a teenager and then I started babysitting. but I always dreamed of having a American Girl, But never got one.  Our Elhanna girl started getting their doll magazine sometime last spring and right away fell in~love with all the sweet dolls.
 She would fall asleep looking at the magazine! She would talk about each of the dolls. she just loves dolls.
 Jon and I had talked about how much the dolls were, and even though we would like her to have one, with the price... it would never fit into the budget.
 So we talked about it with her and she was okay with just enjoying them from the pictures.
Well, late one evening after we had put the kids to bed we found a box on our front porch addressed to Elhanna. We were puzzled, But saw that the return addy was from American Girl!!

I was so excited for her that I asked Jon if we could wake her to open the box! :) I know bad Mama right.
      We woke her  and I'll let the pictures tell the rest!

We were so blown away by the Love that someone as for our sweet little girl, but even more then that, that they were willing to listen to the Holy Spirit.
The Lord is so Good! He knows our needs and takes care of them in some way or another, and He even sees our wants and dreams!
If you are the giver of this sweet gift for our Baby Girl, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I wish you could of seen her face as she opened up the box, and the smile on her face as she carefully places
 " Marie Grace" back in her spot after shes all done playing with her for the day! May the Lord richly bless you!

Our little Snow Monkeys !

With the Mild last few days we have the kids are praying for snow!!! 

They just can't get enough snow. 

They can play out for hours.
Finally I hear them thumping up the steps to the porch, and I know the first thing I'm going to hear is "Can we have hot coco pleasssssse!"  But we settle for a not too sweet Steamy ( Hot milk with a drop of coffee creamer.) and a story!

Desperate!

My Heart is so encouraged this morning by the thought of this book! I can not wait to get my hands on it and glean some encouragement, and hope in a very dry and tiring season in my life.
I'm praying about even leading a group study in our area on it. Yes!!!! You read that right. I'm stepping out of my comfort zone, but I'm so encouraged already and I haven't even read the book yet. and I want to encouraged others in there walks with the Lord, and as their role as a Wife and Mama!



So Excited, I'll let you know when I get the book read, and what the Lord is going to do after that!!!

Christmas Joys!

The new year has come and I'm way behind. but it's ok! Life has been a bus since we got home from our trip  for the Holidays. I'll share more about that later, on to the fun that we had in Indiana with my precious family!

My parents and 21 grandchildren, #22 was born while we were home.

The men and the teens did an evening out called "Trading up" they stared out with a pineapple and ended the night with lots of yummy food that we shared on Christmas! they had a great evening together.
