It's a Soap Day!!

Been wanting to try a new homemade dishwasher soap, so I went hunting on Pinterest!
 Boy, I sure found lots!
This recipe was super easy to make, I'm excited to try it tonight to see how it does!

Here it is...

1c. Borax
1c. Super Washing Soda
1/2 c. Salt
1/2 c. Lemi Shine

Add 1 Tablespoon per load. and I use white vinegar in the place of jet dry!

The kids had a ball helping me make it!

And 5 minutes later we had soap!

Here is the Link if you want to check out the blog that it's from!   domesticallyunemployed

We were also out of laundry soap so we made it too!  I love being frugal and healthy at the same time!

Have a Blessed day, I'm off to make dinner!

Well after running 2 loads in the dishwasher I'm happy to say that I really like it. Our glass cups/jars were very cloudy and murky before with the other homemade soap. and now they are defiantly much clearer and I'm guessing with time they will be clear again. I may make a sink full of hot water with the Lemi shine and just let them soak.
But one thing I'm not too sure of is that it's really hard. on the Domestically Unemployed blog she said that she had the same problem. and added a silicon jell pack to keep it soft. I'm going to be on the hunt for one really soon! But other then that I really like it!
hope you do too!

I've found that soaking our glasses in vinegar water has helped with the hard water cloudiness/ murkiness. I've also sprayed the glasses with the vinegar solution (half/ half), and then wiping the vinegar on the glasses, then rinsing.
